Who knew dot art was a thing? We discovered dot a dot markers recently, and they have entertained our entire family. Dot art markers are gigantic paint-like markers with large round tips instead of points, which serve the sole purpose of making a giant dot on the paper. My three-year-old and I sat on the floor making abstract dot artwork for an hour this evening. No drawing required: just dots. It’s oddly satisfying to plop down a big dot with these markers, and most importantly, keeps my daughter focused and happy.
They can be a little messy so I would not recommend abandoning your three year old in a room with a white sofa armed with dot art markers.
