The best bars in Myrtle Beach for foodies

Here are bars in Myrtle Beach you'll find creative menu items to pair with your cocktails, cool views, and a fun atmosphere for your next happy hour.

You’re past the days of dive bars. Here are bars in Myrtle Beach you’ll find creative menu items to pair with your cocktails, cool views, and a fun atmosphere for your next happy hour.

Joe’s Bar & Grill for the racoon run

You’re probably thinking, “What in the world is a raccoon run?” Let me tell you. It’s a boardwalk with bread at the top so raccoons run up to it, and it’s located right next to the bar porch. Genius. Endlessly entertaining for kids! and adults! Enjoy gorgeous marsh views, a fire, and an excellent glass of wine on the outdoor deck in addition to watching for raccoons. The restaurant is casual fine dining – you can dress up or wear jeans, and you’ll feel comfortable in either attire.

Sea Captain’s House for Ocean Views

Surprisingly, you can’t find many restaurants located on the ocean in Myrtle Beach. Sea Captain’s House is undoubtably one of the most popular restaurants for locals and vacationers, and the new-ish outdoor bar and patio makes this oceanfront spot the perfect place to meet for a cocktail.

New South Brewery

New South Brewing / Brewery in Myrtle Beach

New South Brewery is open during the day, and the bar is located in the working brewery warehouse. This is definitely an off-the-beaten-path spot. You’ll find different food trucks on the weekend to pair with the craft beer!

44 & king

44 & KING

44 & King has an outdoor play area for kids + adults with games like bocce and corn hole so you can play with a drink in one hand.

Jem Social for cool cocktails

Jem Social in Myrtle Beach is a new bar with a fancy cocktail menu and trendy atmosphere. I haven’t tried the food, but the menu looks fantastic: Gorgonzola Waffle Fries, Charred Shishitos, and a Charcuterie Board are just a few of the bar snacks. Entrees include shrimp and grits, grilled salmon with cauliflower puree, and Pan Seared Center Cut NY Strip with Truffle Butter, Potatoes Confit, Tossed Arugula and Lemon Aioli. Yum.

More cool bars in Myrtle Beach:

  • RipTydz has ocean views, games, and a huge bright bar
  • Anchor Cafe at the Marina Inn on the waterway is only open during the summer season
  • Ruth’s Chris in Myrtle Beach has a big, open bar and outdoor seating overlooking the waterway
  • Hook & Barrel’s bright, open bar with jellyfish lighting is fun for drinks + seafood appetizers
  • Wagyu sliders, pork belly tacos, and truffle fries are just a few of the options on the menu you’ll want to order at Happy Hour at Strong Waters Craft Cocktails & Kitchen

Have many happy hours, friends 🥂
