Have you seen Wine Country on Netflix? Y’all, Wine Country looks like the trip we all want to take with our girlfriends. Or maybe I just feel like Amy, Tina, Rachel and I would be best friends if only they had invited me on their trip. Alas, they did not include me on the group text and I was left out.

Something from Wine Country, obviously. A sparkling? A cab? Oh! I know! NOT JUST ONE BOTTLE! Let’s do a wine tasting!! Put on your stretchy wide leg linen pants and come on over for a casual, comfortable, AWESOME evening.

Then, perhaps we can open up a Dry Creek Fume Blanc from Healdsburg in Sonoma. This vineyard has the coolest picnic area, where I had the best sandwich OF MY LIFE. For the occasion of the wine tasting viewing party, we could try to recreate it. It was prosciutto and cheese on a super crusty delicious baguette with a drizzle of olive oil.
Next, let’s get to the reds. A Pinot, friends? How about Toad Hollow Pinot Noir, just go in for the kill and open up one of the best Pinots you can pour. Yay. This is so much fun already! Cheeeeerssss, besties!
Should we end the evening with a high-end Napa Merlot? a smooth Sonoma Cab? a lot of squishy I-love-you hugs? How about yes to all of the above. Open up a Duckhorn Merlot and Conn Creek Anthology for a grand finale of Wine Country awesomeness. Plus hugs.
Here’s the thing. Wine is a magnet for friendships. Tasting wine, sharing the experience, unwinding, relaxing, laughing, hearing a different perspective, sharing, and connecting bonds us.
