Before you judge this frivolous list of books that have zero educational value, hear me out: reading is an escape. I’ve done my fair share of reading biographies, leadership books, and books that expand my mind – but, I like to read for entertainment. I love a great story. I love to get wrapped into characters. I love a love story.
I also love Netflix Christmas movies, so… take these recommendations with a grain of salt. None of these will make a literary masterpiece list but they are fun, engaging reads that I couldn’t put down!

The Chemistry of Love by Sariah Wilson is like a Netflix Christmas movie - predictable and heartwarming. Our heroine is a brainiac chemist and our Prince Charming is the CEO. They forge a friendship to help her win over her one true love. So many chemistry jokes.
Reckless Magic (Star-Crossed series Book 1)
I read a review that noted "Harry Potter meets Twilight" and downloaded Reckless Magic immediately - and immediately, was sucked into the story. A magical society with a boarding school (of course) and conflict and drama and an epic love story. This is a 7-book series. Obsessed!
The Cure Chronicles
The Cure Chronicles is a 5-book series about a dystopian world with a pandemic-like disease that ravages the population. There is a cure - but only for those who earn it. It's got a Hunger Games flavor, and the story is fast-paced with a series of characters that make the books difficult to put down. Also, an epic love story!
The Betrothed
A spunky heroine captures the heart of a Prince, and at first lives a fairy tale. Is being Queen what she thought it would be? Couldn’t put this one down, and immediately picked up the second to finish the story.
The Selection
Basically a royal Bachelor style fiction - the prince must choose a wife from 30 eligible ladies from the kingdom. The series is DELIGHTFUL and the love story is sweet.
The Watchmaker's Daughter (Glass and Steele Book 1)
A mysterious handsome man paired with a smart and spunky heroine, magical powers, murder mystery, and London in the 1800s… you’ll feel like you’re friends with the cast of characters. The 13 book series are easy to read and tough to put down.
