A Grand Strand Winter Itinerary

Dec. 11, 2022 Weekend Top 10

Friday

5 pm • MarshWalk Wonderland of Lights

Have a Merry MarshWalk Christmas! Stroll through the light displays along the MarshWalk with plenty of photo ops including a Gingerbread House and Candy Cane Arch. Santa’s Village with children’s activities will be open Fridays-Sundays 5pm-9pm until December 23rd (except 12/10 for the Santa Crawl.)

6:30 pm • Dine at Drunken Jack’s

No visit to the MarshWalk is complete without a seafood dinner! Drunken Jack’s is a locally-owned spot with excellent seafood and friendly service. It also made our list of best local seafood spots. Fresh catch of the day, flounder, crab cakes, hushpuppies, fantail shrimp… it’s all delightful. And if you’re not in the mood for seafood, you have plenty of char-grilled choices like Jack’s famous slow-roasted prime rib and the porterhouse pork chop.

8 pm • Ice cream at Twisters

Stop at this roadside soft-serve ice cream spot on your way home!

Have a seat in the bright and airy farmhouse chic dining room at Blueberry’s Grille for one of the best brunches in the Grand Strand. Try the stone barn pork belly Benedict or the cinnamon roll French toast if you’re feeling decadent. If you want something a little lighter, the healthy corner of the menu offers chobani and granola, steel cut oats, and healthy omelet options.
