Consider this your sign to take a turn off Business 17 and head to one of the most charming coastal towns in South Carolina. You’ll discover TW Graham & Co in McClellanville, a hidden culinary gem located about five minutes from Business 17.
The quiet town is filled with picturesque Lowcountry homes, shrimping boats on the water, and gorgeous oak trees draped in Spanish moss.
The South Carolina coastal sprawl hasn’t yet hit McClellanville, which remains untouched from all of the newness of the surrounding towns. Shrimping boats float on the water. Most of the homes are beautiful and historic, with a few updated houses in the mix.

TW Graham & Co in McClellanville
Here’s the real reason to visit: TW Graham & Co is about 5 minutes from Business 17.
It has an old fish shack feel.
It feels old because it is: the restaurant opened in 1894!
You’ll feel like you walked into a secret kitchen, hidden from the tourists.
I love love love Myrtle Beach and Murrells Inlet, but a little shack in a quaint coastal town just has an authentic vibe you can’t replicate.
TW Graham & Co Menu
The food is made from locally caught seafood,, from scratch, in a tiny kitchen, prepared by people with love.
What to order first: We started with the famous crab balls, which I thought were going to be crab hush puppies but really were little crab cakes in the shape of a ball. DELIGHTFUL. Definitely order those.
Specials: I decided to order the special – grilled shrimp on a black eyed pea salad. It was full of Lowcountry flavors and fresh produce and the perfect lunch.
Fried platters: I was a teensy jealous that my husband ordered fried shrimp and grilled grouper. The platter came with the most delicious sautéed veggies (zucchini and squash) and hush puppies and French fries. The fried shrimp is worth the visit… I stole a few, for research sake, of course.
Vibe: The family-feel, friendly service, incredible food will have us going back again and again – and I highly recommend for you to try it, too! This would be worth a day trip!
