That’s how we do, how we do, fancy like Jordon Wines…
Jordan Winery makes two wines in a French-inspired chalet in Sonoma Valley: a Chardonnay and a Cabernet Sauvignon.
That’s it.
And they are both phenomenal.
In the wine world, opening a bottle of Jordan is like carrying a Gucci bag. It’s fancy, and it’s the best.
Jordan Winery Story
Like most fine wines, Jordan’s founders were successful and wine was their hobby. To produce fine wine, you need to have a passion and a pocketbook. The Jordans purchased the property and started making wines in the 70s. Their daughter, Judy, founded and later sold the ultra successful J Vineyards. (The Bubble Room is so cool!) John, the son, took over and still manages Jordan today.

Jordan Wines to Try
Jordan Cab
🎶 Play BB King + the blues
🍴 Make Food & Wine’s Pimento Cheeseburgers with Bacon Jam
🍷 Find it at Total Wine for $69.99
The Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon is a smooth-drinking Alexander Valley Cab blended in a Bordeaux style, so a little more rich and earthy than fruity. This is a wine to share for date night or an intimate dinner party with blues playing in the background. Steaks, marinated flank steak, a big burger would be a great pairing. The rustic flavors make this a great wine when you’re grilling. Pair it with a grilled pork tenderloin or even an herb-crusted chicken.
Jordan Chardonnay
🧀 Pair it with a simple Wine Country inspired cheese plate
🎶 Play instrumental jazzy music like Nathaniel Rateliff or Billy Strings bluegrass,
🍴Make a light pasta dish like this simple lemon pasta with asparagus using Jordan olive oil
🍷Find it at Total Wine
The Jordan Chardonnay is a delightfully bright, crisp white that pairs well with sunshine, cheeses, instrumental jazzy music like Nathaniel Rateliff or Billy Strings bluegrass, and light pasta dishes like this simple lemon pasta with asparagus using Jordan olive oil. (Read on… the olive oil is a staple you’ll want in your pantry.)
Where to Buy Jordan Wines
Want to have a wine night in instead? You can find Jordan at Total Wine. Other nice wine shops will usually carry Jordan Wines as well. (read: a round-up of great Myrtle Beach area wine shops)
- Buy the Cabernet Sauvignon at Total Wine
- Buy the Chardonnay at Total Wine
Jordan Olive Oil
An honorable mention: the olive oil. You cannot find a better olive oil on the planet, in my opinion. It’s nutty, smooth, and needs no other spices/flavors as a dip for bread or drizzle on lettuce for a salad. You can order here.
Jordan Winery is legendary.
If you plan to visit Sonoma, make reservations for Jordan. It is absolutely one of the best experiences you can have on a California wine vacation.
