So many of the charcuterie boards and cheese plates on Pinterest are OVER THE TOP. You don’t need make your salami look like roses for a beautiful charcuterie board. I was surprised and relieved to learn the professionals at wineries serve extremely simple spreads. Of course, the old saying quality over quantity is the key.
I loved this cheese board from SIMI because it was so simple, and something you can make at home.
- A few sliced cheeses
- A jar of something fruity (this was a chef-made compote but you can find something similar in the store!)
- Dried fruit
- Salted Marcona almonds
- Ricotta cheese mixed with olive oil: An easy item to make at home: ricotta mixed with olive oil, salt & pepper in a little jar. So simple and full of flavor!
- fancy popcorn
