An everyday Chardonnay & Cabernet

Kenwood Winery is "defined by the wild of Sonoma since 1970" which guides all of their wine production.

Kenwood Vineyards in Sonoma has a laidback vibe that instantly makes you feel welcomed and comfortable, like you’re visiting a friend of a friend’s house. The wines have that same welcoming tone: approachable, easy-drinking, crowd-pleasers.

About Kenwood Vineyards

“Defined by the wild of Sonoma since 1970” guides all of Kenwood Vineyards wine production. With nine vineyards across Sonoma Valley, Kenwood produces a variety of wines featuring different characteristics from each microclimate. Kenwood commits to sustainable land use, as described on the website: “All of our estate vineyards are Sonoma Sustainable Certified and we’ve implemented a biodiversity program to restore and protect wildlife in the area. We’re committed to keeping our land wild and stay true to its nature.”

Jack London Wines

Kenwood is the sole producer of wines made from Jack London’s ranch. Does that name bring you back to high school English class? Let me help you recall: Jack London, as in the author of The Call of the Wild and White Fang, the books you read in high school. He had a ranch in Sonoma. According to Jack London’s bio, he lived there with his second wife, Charmian Kittredge (what a glamorous name, right?), until he died there.

Wine Tasting at Kenwood Vineyards

Charcuterie, fantastic wine, cushy seating under a canopy, at a winery: the perfect afternoon.

Our host brought out a charcuterie board to pair with the wines that was as tasty as instagrammable. Bee pollen, olive oil, olives, cheeses, meats, and Kenwood Vineyards wines combined to make the tasting a laidback, relaxing, and enjoyable experience. We casually learned about the wines as our host poured the wines, answered questions, and then left us to enjoy. Our group had a fantastic time.

If you’re building a Sonoma Wine Tasting itinerary, consider booking Landmark Vineyards or Simi, which are close.

Make a reservation: Kenwood is open 7 days a week and requires a reservation. The Wild Sonoma Tasting includes wines you can only try at the winery.

Or, just open Kenwood wines at home with your own wine snacks, like a cheese plate or ricotta toast with hot honey.
