That’s amore: pasta at Gio’s Italian Kitchen.
Trendy, but not stuffy.
Bustling, not frantic.
That’s the Gio’s vibe.
You have two locations to try: Myrtle Beach and Pawleys Island.
One of the best Italian restaurants in the Grand Strand, you’ll find great food, excellent service, and a fantastic wine list. When it comes to dining experiences, Gio’s nails it.
Gio’s is upscale enough to be a go-to date night spot, yet not so formal you can’t bring your family.
A balsamic handwritten “Gios” is embedded in olive oil for your bread dipping. It’s the little details that make an experience extra special, right?
Menu: The menu and wine list is superb. Lasagna, chicken piccata, seafood scampi… yum!! No doubt you’ll get order anxiety scanning the extensive, delicious options.
Start with a fork & knife caesar, it’s tangy and delicious and the perfect starter to an Italian feast.
If you’re in a traditional comfort food mood, go for the lasagna. You can’t go wrong with layers of ricotta cheese, mozzarella, ground beef and veal, and marinara.
Feeling more like fancy seafood? Order the Scallops Provencial. However, be warned: once you try this dish with linguine, perfectly seared scallops, smothered in a lemon basil sauce with garlic… you are never going to try anything else on the menu.
Wines to try: Chalk Hill Chardonnay with the the seafood scampi (or any seafood) is delectable! Looking for an Italian red? Try the Zaccagini Montepulciano Reserve or Antinori Santa Cristina Chianti. Italian wine with Italian food is always a smart selection.
