Creative sliders + tacos + beer at River Rat Brewery in Columbia

Here’s the thing about a great brewery – the outdoor vibe, craft beers, and beer-friendly food make it a destination. A great brewery tends to be off the commercialized path. You won’t find River Rat Brewery strolling along downtown Columbia. It’s located in a warehouse-y area with views of the stadium in the distance.

And it’s definitely worth the drive!

You can sit inside by the bar, on the rooftop bar, under the covered area, or in the wide open green space at a picnic table. Kids have room to roam while parents can enjoy craft beer + food.

Some tasting notes:

Order the slider sampler and the taco sampler if you’re feeling noncommittal to one entrèe – you won’t be disappointed with the variety!
The Nut Brown Ale is light and nutty, perfect for the savory bar food
Kids will be occupied playing cornhole + running around the open outdoor space
21+ can hang out on the rooftop bar (and you can see the stadium!)
