Oh, YUMMM: Head to Black Drum Brewing for beers + savory bites

Y’all need to check out Black Drum Brewing if it’s not already on your list of favorites – the food + beers are fantastic!

The restaurant is located with ocean views in Kingston Plantation, and has indoor and outdoor seating. Parking is easy.

We opted to sit inside next to the windows with ocean and pool views. Perfect!

We tried:

Black Drum French Fries app: Seasoned Beer Battered Fries, Beer Cheese, Crumbled Bacon, Comeback Sauce, Chives. Welp, I can’t say this is the healthiest choice but I hate to tell you this.. probably the best French fries I’ve ever had in my entire life. The French fries are a medium steak fry version. Steak fries are usually NOT my favorite… but these are cooked to a super crispy perfection, and then drizzled with a special sauce and bacon and other incredible accoutrements to create the perfect beer-friendly appetizer.

Pizza (OMG) My 13-year-old declared “you can tell a restaurant by the pizza” and was #totallyimpressed. It’s a wood-fired grilled pizza with a lot of cheese and high quality ingredients. This isn’t a pizza place but may have the best pizza in town.

Portabello Mushroom sandwich is a healthier option, I ate it without the top bun. But I also ate a bunch of the fries so not exactly healthy lol. Green beans are fantastic.

Chocolate Stout Smores Cake: Homemade Toasted Marshmallow Fluff, Cinnamon Sugar Graham, Peanut Butter Whiskey Mousse. HOLY SMOKES, get someone at your table to order this so you can have bite. It’s brownie heaven.
