Let’s chat about what wines to serve with Easter dinner.
I loooove brunch foods, and the perfect Easter menu is sort of like a picnic: spiral sliced honey ham, green beans almandine, deviled eggs, dill potato salad (FYI: the Lee Brothers Simple Fresh Southern Cookbook has the BEST potato salad recipe, ever, hands down), dinner rolls, and green salad with strawberries.
If you’re a Fresh Market fan (are they only in the South? Not sure, but it’s fantastic.) they have a great pick-up meal for Easter that we’re considering. Vacation means letting someone else do the cooking, right?
Do you ever buy something that you irrationally love, but don’t have a plan for it? That’s me for Easter: I got bright blue gingham flats and I have no clue what I’m going to wear with them, but they will certainly be on my feet on Easter Sunday!

Easter wine recommendations for you
For digging into your kids’ Easter candy
First things first: the moment kids are snoozing, unwrap the Cadbury eggs and pop jelly beans. Also pop open a bottle of sparkling rosè, which is not sweet but like magic with sweets. Our go-to is Chandon Rosè which has an undertone of apples, strawberry, and plum and comes in minis! Also, the perfect wine to start any evening with (or without) appetizers.
If you’re craving a white before Memorial Day
Pick up a toasty Chardonnay like the Rodney Strong Reserve Chardonnay to sip along savory dishes. It’s strong and rich enough to stand up to strong flavors like creamy potato salad and salty ham.
If you prefer red
Go for a light, cherry Pinot Noir that won’t overwhelm the menu like the easy-drinking Sea Glass Pinot Noir. It’s not too fruity, and also is a great choice to serve with fish.
To match your pastel outfit
Open a great Rosè, darling, the perfect color to match your Easter outfit! (Here are the rosès you should try this spring)
Also: aren’t the Easter eggs in the picture adorable? I wish I could tell y’all I made them and give you a step-by-step tutorial, but I bought them from my favorite Myrtle Beach vintage store, Bungalow 17.
