1229 Shine has the vibe of a brewery with a menu crafted for a seafood-loving foodie.
This spot located on the outskirts of The Market Common shopping center is a fantastic spot to meet friends for happy hour.
If you’re looking for a place to chill with cool cocktails and snack on seafood appetizers, head to 1229 Shine. You can bring your kids and let them run around outside while you sip + snack on the porch.
Collected Hospitality Group, owners of Co Sushi, created this new restaurant concept, so you can expect great things from the menu. Here are our highlights.
Good Taste Highlights
- Wine List: The wine list is not fantastic (they are going to update it soon, so we’ll let y’all know!)
- Cocktails to try: If you like a slightly sweet drink, the Blackberry Mule on the happy hour menu is a delightful gingery concoction mixed with berries. Craft beers pair well with the food. The jalapeño margarita is refreshing, not too sweet, and also not too spicy.
- Make a dinner out of apps: oysters, coconut shrimp, mini tuna tacos, tuna crudo, grouper bites. Everything is outstanding. The Happy Hour menu features $1 house oysters + many of their most popular appetizers nearly half-price making this a spot worth heading to early. Also noteworthy: the kids’ chicken finger meal which was so fantastic, you may want to order it.
Foodie friends, you’ll love this spot for the retro decor, outstanding seafood, and cocktail menu.
