A Shakespeare Play at the Globe Theatre (London, England)

The Bard still rocks the stage 400 years later. Even my 16-year-old was locked in—and laughing the whole time.

Why go: seeing a Shakespeare play in a way Londoners did in the 1600s is a truly fun experience – the actors are all fantastic and interactive with the audience. We went to a comedy – a Midsummer Night’s Dream – and laughed the whole time. My son – 16 – loved it too. We were both “locked in” as the tik Tok gen likes to say.

What we’d do again: Two tips: buy the program and add cushions. The plot summary in the program made it much easier to follow the story, especially if your last Shakespeare class was decades ago. Also, get seats with cushions. Those benches are like church pews! We were in the balcony, which is covered.
