Trader Joe’s Porch Picnic Sandwich + The Beach Rosé by Whispering Angel
A Trader Joe’s ciabatta sandwich with burrata, prosciutto, and lemon pesto — paired with The Beach Rosé by Whispering Angel. Built for Southern porch season.
There are sandwiches, and then there are sandwiches worth building a whole afternoon around. This one — ciabatta, burrata, prosciutto, lemon pesto, fresh basil — is the latter. Best part: every ingredient comes from Trader Joe’s.
Every Southerner knows the window is short — a few precious weeks between “still a little chilly” and “it’s a 400-degree oven out here.” This is a porch sandwich built for that season. Use it wisely.
Pair it with a chilled bottle of The Beach Rosé by Whispering Angel, a good playlist, done.

Build it:
- Ciabatta bread
- Burrata
- Prosciutto
- Lemon pesto
- Fresh basil
Slice the ciabatta, spread the lemon pesto, layer the prosciutto, tear the burrata over the top, finish with basil. That’s it.
The pour: The Beach Rosé is Whispering Angel’s approachable Provence rosé — pale pink, dry, a little citrus, a little stone fruit. It’s made for exactly this kind of afternoon. And, it’s one of the best rosés from Provence.
