Welcome to our Old Mill Brew Pub review.
It’s tempting on a road trip to drive as fast as possible to the destination rather than take any time for exploring breaks along the way.
Take an hour to discover a small town and a local restaurant.
Don’t rush through a drive-through.
The stop is worth extending the arrival time.
Our visit to Old Mill Brew Pub in quaint Lexington, South Carolina proved our theory that the road stop can be the most fun part of the road trip.
Lexington is located out of Columbia is one of the faster growing towns in South Carolina. It’s close to the capital city but its own little historic town with cool things to do and more affordable lifestyle.
The beautiful Old Mill Pond Trail surrounds the lake. Old Mill Brewing Restaurant sits on the corner.
Old Mill Brew Pub Review: Beer List
The beer list is fantastic with so many craft beers on tap. Order a flight first so you can try several!
Old Mill Brew Pub Review: Food
Beer-friendly food like chili, burgers, fried green tomato BLT, and fried shrimp is on the menu – and it does NOT disappoint. Our whole family loved the restaurant. And always a good sign: on a Sunday, the place was packed.
The service and atmosphere was friendly, fast, and welcoming. We didn’t feel rushed or delayed, and had a great time enjoying our craft beers and food. Our kids walked around the lake while we sipped on our beers. Can you get better than that for a road trip stop!?
