📒 Sonoma Valley Field Notes

We are planning to visit Sonoma Valley again in April and I’m already dreaming about going to Catelli’s for dinner with our family. I think I would plan an entire trip around this restaurant.

Catelli’s is – without a doubt – one of the best restaurants we’ve ever dined in across the USA. Seriously.

Located in the cute little town of Geyserville, Catelli’s is a cozy Italian restaurant that treats their guests like family- we saw so many groups come in and hug the hostess and servers.

I’ve been to a lot of Italian restaurants – and I’m sure you have too! – but this one is different. Everything is extra savory, extra delicious. We started out with the minestrone and garlic bread and from that point forward already declared it was one of the best spots we’ve ever tried.

I dreamt about the minestrone and was sad I would have to fly across the country to get it… until my husband found the recipe ONLINE and it’s become my new favorite winter soup to make. It’s outstanding. Paired with the crunchy, savory garlic bread and a smooth Sangiovese? Out of this world.

Next we had a pasta dish with sausage and a trio of raviolis.

We wanted to try everything on the menu.

This is a popular restaurant so reservations are tough to get last-minute… but if you’re still on east coast time and are dining around 4 or 5 – you’ll get right in!
