This is a longtime local’s favorite spot, long before Chef Paul Smith became West Virginia’s first James Beard Award winner. Anyone who has dined at 1010 was not shocked he received this culinary honor, because this cozy spot always delivers on creativity, food, and a friendly vibe.
What we’d order again: the pimento cheese appetizer with candied walnuts and jalepeno jelly is a spicy twist on the Southern favorite starter, plus oysters with a citrus mignonette paired with the Dry Creek Vineyard Fume Blanc is a magical match. The scallops with vegetables and risotto is pretty and full of flavor!
