While Instagram may be the source of inspiration for beautiful, clutter-free homes and Amazon organization finds for some… I’m there for the food. And I saw some smartie pants mom post about a “cookbook club.”
What’s a cookbook club? Everyone makes a recipe from the same cookbook and gets together for dinner. Brilliant! So fun!
I sent the idea to my foodie friend and she said yes! And that Magnolia was hosting a Supper Club contest and a group was already planning a party.
I got added to the group chat and we got together for a dinner party.
Let me tell you: this is the way to do a supper club. Hosting an entire dinner party with different courses is stressful, but being responsible for just one dish made it easy. Plus, it was fun to make a recipe I’d NEVER try on my own. All of the recipes came from the same cookbook so they all complimented each other. It was a fun night filled with delicious food, wine, stories, and laughter. The best kind of night ❤️

We had tomato butter for bread as an appetizer, a salad with sun dried tomato vinaigrette, a delicious pasta, and peanut butter pie for desert. It was perfect!
Here are some basic wine pairing ideas –
A Sparkling wine for appetizer and dessert (check out our list of the best sparkling wines)
A good Chardonnay is a good crowd-pleaser for the salad course (here’s a list of our favorite chardonnays)
A crowd-pleasing red wine for the entree (check out our roundup of red wines you can find at Target!)
Bree created the incredible tablescape complete with a custom designed menu and placecards. Extra? Yep. Was it stunning and beautiful and take a Tuesday night from average to extraordinary? Also yep.
Bree Moore DesignS
If you don’t know the magic that is Bree Moore Design, let me introduce you. Her designs are unmatched – she combines graphic design and hand-lettered calligraphy for beautiful, artistic invitations, menus, table cards, and other printed elements that take an event from pretty to memorable.
Lucky for our group, she created the tablescape with custom designed placemats and name cards which made our event fancy and special!
Plus she showed up with a Joanna Gaines wig, lol.
Here are photos from the party – y’all should host one!
