Paprika is the best meal planning app, and eliminates the following all-to-familiar situation:
The other day, my co-worker was sitting in my office and it was getting close to the end of the day, and his wife called.
“It’s the what’s for dinner call!” I said… and heard her say when he picked up the phone, “is spaghetti ok?”
My husband and I have the same conversation, too. Every day. Usually around noon, sometimes it’s closer to 5.
“What’s for dinner?” I reply with, “um… pizza?” Then he’s like, “what about burgers?” So I reply with, “I don’t feel like going to the store. How about picking up …” Wouldn’t it be miraculous to have an answer every single day? With the ingredients in the fridge, ready to cook?
Imagine.
“what’s for dinner?”
And having a response every day by 5pm:
Monday: Braised chicken and roasted broccoli.
Tuesday: Tacos. (It’s Tuesday, after all.)
Wednesday: Salmon Burgers with Chive Aioli.
Thursday: White Pizza with Buffalo Chicken and Yogurt Ranch Dressing.
Friday: Mumm Napa Sparkling.
Is it possible to pull this off?
Yes, with a little help from my new favorite meal planning app, Paprika. I can tell you what’s for dinner.
I’ve been using this app for several weeks and I can confidently tell you: it’s a game changer. Saving a recipe, creating a grocery list, and adding to a calendar are all a one-tap step. It is soooo unbelievably simple and intuitive.
Four features I love about the Paprika meal planning app:
4 features that makes Paprika the best meal planning app
1. One click to add a recipe
Find a recipe on Facebook, Pinterest, on the world wide web, by searching, etc… and just choose the Paprika app in the share feature on your iPhone or iPad and like magic, it’s there.
And there’s more…
02. Ingredients are automatically added to the correct location
Somehow, Paprika just knows which part of the recipe contains the ingredients and adds them – which is a big deal because the ingredients are linked to the grocery list. So in one click, you’ve got your recipe stored, your ingredients separated out, and a grocery list prepared.
And there’s more…
03. Grocery List Creation
Easily add the ingredients from your selected recipes to a grocery list. You don’t need to add all of them (for instance, you probably have salt in your cabinet…) and the app allows you to select the ones you need to buy.
and finally, your actual meal plan…
04. Meal Planning Calendar
You can add the recipe (or notes like “Sertoma dinner” or “Plated”) to the days of the week, so you have your entire week planned out. You can even add it to your real calendar if you’d like.
