If you’ve ever dreamed of strolling through Paris in the fall — croissant in hand, camera around your neck, wine on your mind — this is your sign to go. 🍷
We’ve all heard about the “over tourism” in Europe the past few years, so I was a little nervous the magic might be overshadowed by long lines and crowds…
I’m happy to report our girls’ trip to Paris was everything we hoped for and more: five days of incredible food, iconic landmarks, cozy cafés, and spontaneous laughter. We booked through Trafalgar Travel, which made it easy to experience the best of Paris without the stress of planning every detail.

But this wasn’t just a trip — it was a creative reset. Traveling with a few of my favorite travel cameras, I learned when to press record and when to simply be present. And I created FIVE VIDEOS! These are short little movies capturing the memories in a way that only a video can. I treasure them, and hope you like them too.
Here’s how our adventure unfolded, one part at a time.
Buckle up, friends…. there are five videos to watch and a LOT of photos 🙂 And if you can believe it… this is only a tiny fraction of what I took!!
🥂 Day 1: Eiffel Tower Views, Seine Strolls, and Perfume Making

We kicked off our trip with Trafalgar’s guided city tour, including a photo stop at the Eiffel Tower and lunch inside the tower itself — complete with Champagne and the dreamiest fall views.
Afterward, we strolled along the Seine and made our own custom perfumes at Fragonard, a memory we could literally bring home.
🎒 Why you’ll love it: Effortless sightseeing, iconic Paris moments, and zero planning stress.

🎨 Day 2: Musée d’Orsay + Notre Dame Walking Tour

Art lovers — this day is for you. We booked both tours through GetYourGuide, and they were phenomenal. Our guide Cristina brought the Musée d’Orsay to life, and the Notre Dame walking tour offered a close look at the cathedral’s history and reconstruction.
💡 Travel tip: Book a morning tour to avoid crowds, and stop for coffee nearby afterward.

🍷 Day 3: Le Marais, Cooking Class, and Wine Tasting

This was my favorite day — the perfect mix of exploring, eating, and learning.
We started in Le Marais (Paris’ effortlessly chic neighborhood filled with boutiques, cafés, and charm), then rolled up our sleeves for a hands-on French cooking class. The day ended with a wine tasting featuring Chablis and Irancy — proof that Paris tastes as good as it looks.
🥖 Don’t miss: Try a croissant or baguette from a local boulangerie in Le Marais before your class.
📸 Creative note: Shooting between bites was half the fun — handheld with my Fuji for soft, cinematic tones.

🖼️ Day 4: Montmartre + The Louvre

Montmartre feels like stepping into a painting. From the steep climb to Sacré-Cœur Basilica to the streets lined with artists, it’s everything you hope Paris will be.
We spent the morning exploring Montmartre before heading to the Louvre — and yes, we saw the Mona Lisa (along with everyone else in the Louvre that day!)
I will add that this is where Trafalgar really made a big difference – our bus went to a private parking garage, giving us access without lines to get into the museum, and then we had a group tour. Had we not been with the tour, we would have waited in line for hours – even with tickets.
💡 Photo tip: Early mornings or golden hour give you the softest light for street shots.

🌸 Day 5: Monet’s Gardens in Giverny + Père Lachaise Cemetery

On our final day, we ventured outside the city to Monet’s Gardens in Giverny — where you can literally walk the paths that inspired his Water Lilies. It’s about an hour from Paris and completely worth it.
In the afternoon, we explored Père Lachaise Cemetery, one of the world’s most beautiful resting places and home to the graves of Edith Piaf, Oscar Wilde, and Jim Morrison.
🌿 Worth the trip: The gardens are breathtaking in fall — plan a morning visit and bring your camera.
🪦 Unexpected favorite: Père Lachaise is peaceful and cinematic — a reflective way to end the trip.
🎥 Capturing Paris While Staying Present
This trip wasn’t just about croissants and culture — it was about creativity.
I packed light:
- Fujifilm X100VI
- DJI Osmo Pocket 3
- Insta360 Go 3S
- DJI Mic Mini
- I left behind my Sony zv1 and my Fuji xs20
Each one helped me capture something different — from wide street shots to tiny moments. The cameras I like to take are EASY. I’m not a photographer or a cinematographer. I want to be in the moment – and these are the cameras that let me capture the moment while being in the moment. check out: my favorite cameras
