Here’s a super simple dinner recipe made easy with Costco finds: Japanese BBQ Pulled Pork Sliders!
The secret ingredient is Bachan’s Japanese Barbecue Sauce, a Costco find. It’s like a light housin sauce with a little bit of tang, and soaks right into the pork. It’s not a sauce-y sauce, almost like a marinade.
This is a wine-friendly sandwich (ok, let’s be honest… aren’t all sandwiches!? lol)
Wine pairings
- Serve with sparkling (here’s a list of our go-to Sparkling wines)
- a Riesling is always a great pairing for Asian flavors
- My favorite rosé at the moment is Hampton Water – it’s an easy-drinking French rosé, less than $20, and a bottle that anyone will love.
- If you’re in the mood for a red, go for a Pinot Noir. The Loveblock from New Zealand is a new favorite – a little more rustic than your traditional Pinot, but still smooth, and food-friendly.
These sliders are easy to make and assemble – great for weeknights, or a party! You could have everything ready to assemble for your guests and let them make their own.
Here’s the recipe.
