When it comes to iconic interior design, few names are as synonymous with bold color and statement-making style as Dorothy Draper. Known for transforming spaces into lively, vibrant experiences, Draper’s influence is perhaps most famously seen at The Greenbrier—the historic West Virginia resort that’s practically a love letter to grand millwork, floral patterns, and, of course, color.
From rich emerald greens to playful pinks and dramatic blues, the Greenbrier paint colors are more than just shades on a wall—they’re a masterclass in how to use color fearlessly and flawlessly. Whether you’re looking to recreate that classic Palm Beach-meets-Baroque look or just want a pop of Draper’s signature style, these hues are sure to inspire.

I grew up in WV. Anyone that has a bad thing to say about my home state has not had the privilege of visiting the Greenbrier. It is, in my opinion, the most perfect place on the planet.
Dorothy Draper is my style icon. The bright colors. Bold patterns. White ceramic lamps. Glossy white furniture. Black and white floors. Dorothy Draper’s Greenbrier paint colors from Benjamin Moore set the perfect color palette for this exquisitely decorated hotel.

So I have a treat for you. A few years ago, I took pictures of the original paint chips of the Greenbrier from Dorothy Draper which were on display by Draper’s Cafe. I used them in my house- Jamaican Aqua makes me happy every time I walk in the door. Thomas’s room is Little Angel. It’s so cool to me that Benjamin Moore still carries these colors! I also took pictures of some of my favorite spots and the Greenbrier.

Love it! Can’t wait to hear about the trip. Just seeing these pics makes me ready to go back! Ahhhh.
Jealous!!!!! But, I love that Thomas is carrying on the Lane tradition of birthday parties at the Greenbrier!
Ha! You’re totally invited to join us, Jess. We could get our hair permed to recreate our awesome style from the original birthday parties
I too live in WV and my family goes to Greenbrier once a year for a long weekend. I would love to know the color name of the purple paint used in Drapers Resturant so I paint a hall in my home
I think it may be grappa. However, I thought the old Draper’s was darker than that color! The new paint colors aren’t Benjamin Moore – but they have a card with paint colors you can pick up in one of the rooms off the lobby, it may have the correct color. These are old from a display – I don’t think it’s on display anymore!!
