I do my part to support women-owned businesses, ladies. And ordering tie-died cupcakes from Baked by Melissa is being supportive and fulfilling a female entrepreneur’s dreams.
Do a good deed: check!
One of my favorite podcasts for women is by SKIMM founders Carly Zakin and Danielle Weisberg, who interview powerful female leaders in business in a quick 20 minute, entertaining. This is how I discovered cupcake delivery company Baked by Melissa. Founder Melissa Ben-Ishay on the podcast was so compelling, I filed it away in my head as a company to support.
So, I ordered Baked by Melissa cupcakes for my husband’s birthday.
50 of them!
And I got a FREE GIFT BOX.
I couldn’t contain my excitement and shared with my friends about the special cupcakes I ordered from Baked by Melissa.
“OHHHH!!” I said, when I registered their shocked reaction, “NOT that kind of special. Special like they were a little bit more expensive than I’d normally spend on cupcakes. The company ships from Jersey, not Colorado.”
My kids were in on this surprise, so by the time the cupcakes arrived, the gift was no longer a surprise.
Happy birthday to my husband, here’s a gift for you that’s for me, too.
An assortment of delicious cupcake bites on little trays, delivered in a pretty box, packaged in ice.
Y’all, this is the best woman-owned company to support for gifts – I was smart, I ordered for someone I live with so I got to eat them. These really make an excellent sweet surprise for someone in lieu of flowers. Baked by Melissa ships and you can choose the date – so scheduling is easy.
