If I had to be stuck in a wine cellar, I’d choose for it to be stocked with Rodney Strong Winery wines.

Rodney Strong Symmetry is our go-to celebration wine: for new jobs, anniversaries, date nights. If Symmetry is on the menu, we’re going to order it.

We’ve visited Rodney Strong Vineyards and tasting room several times – and it’s always a fun visit! You can book a number of different experiences – we had a tasting flight on our last visit and it’s definitely one I’d recommend if you’re planning a trip to Sonoma and Napa.

Optical Grape Sorting

We visited Rodney Strong during harvest one year. We were lucky to get a behind-the-scenes tour and see the optical grape sorting machine in action! This incredible machine has a computerized eye that picks the best grapes for wine, and discards the rest. Check it out:

A lot of my love of this wine has to do with our experience visiting. We’ve been to a mountain farm-to-table dinner overlooking Rockaway Vineyard. We’ve sampled from barrels with a thief* with one of the winemakers.
