Antica Chardonnay

Tastes like a splendid swirl of peaches and pears with a little cream, but without the sugary sweetness. Serve it with anything that is salty and delicious, even deep fried. Pour a glass at the top of a Napa Valley mountain after a long and swerve-y drive (one of our favorite wine tastings in Napa!)… but almost as delightful served at home.

Cool to know: Pronounced An-teek-a. It stands for Antinori (a 26 generations old Italian wine-making fam) and California. The Antinoris are the 9th oldest family-owned business in the world, started in 1385. That’s right. The middle ages. The same time period that moms were more nervous about the black plague than preoccupied with reading anti-vaxxing articles posted on Facebook.

Winemaker Notes

“A medium-bodied wine, rich and flavorful with prominent pear and white peach notes with additional spice notes on the palate. Its texture is creamy yet crisp, with the acid allowing the wine to have focus and gusto and the purity of the fruit to shine”

About the winemaker

“ANTICA is a symbol for Antinori California and expresses in Italian our family’s passion for winemaking passed along 26 generations.

Napa Valley has a special place in my heart beginning with my first visit in 1966, having the free spirit coming from a new frontier, a wonderful history, and the potential to produce world-class wines.

Our wine estate is located on a high plain in the eastern mountains of the celebrated Napa Valley. Its hilly terrain, rocky soils, high elevations and beautiful landscape create above all an estate ideal for winegrowing.” – Marchese Piero Antinori – Proprietor
