In other words, don’t make ridiculous resolutions. That sets you up for failure. Be specific. Resolutions that are too aggressive will fail. Setting specific and achievable goals – SMART goals – are the only way to set your resolutions.

For example, rather than “lose weight” —- something out of your control — instead, make your resolution to be active for 30 minutes a day and make healthy choices (you can check those off your to do list.)
